The Sorcerer’s Apprentice
I worked on the modeling and texturing for visual effects in the Disney feature production, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. Utilizing thousands of digital images, along with proprietary software, Photoshop and Maya, I worked to create Digital Doubles for the character “Son-Loc” used in the special effect scenes. Enchanted
I worked on the modeling and texturing for visual effects in the Disney feature production, Enchanted. Utilizing thousands of digital images, along with proprietary software, Photoshop and Maya, I worked create Digital Doubles for the characters “Giselle” and “Robert Philip” that were used in the special effect scenes.
Medical Visualizations
I worked on several medical visualizations during my time at the University of Missouri’s School of Medicine. Some were used for patient education and other for a stereoscopic movie called “All Systems Go,” a health science museum located in Columbia, MO. I managed the project, including: script development, storyboarding, creating animatic and models, and giving art direction. This movie is made to be viewed with 3D stereoscopic glasses, and includes some samples from those projects.
Déjà Vu
I worked on the modeling and texturing for visual effects in the feature production, Déjà Vu, produced by Tony Scott. Utilizing thousands of digital images, along with proprietary software, Photoshop and Maya, I worked create Digital Doubles for the primary character “Claire Kuchever” and other secondary characters and vehicles involved in the opening explosion theme.
Gatorade “Big Heads”
I worked on the modeling and texturing for visual effects used in the Gatorade “Big Heads” commercial. Utilizing thousands of digital images, along with proprietary software, Photoshop and Maya, I worked create Digital Doubles of several professional athletes that were used in the spot.
Mizzou Proposed Sports Park
I supervised the development of a 3D architectural visualization of the proposed MU Sports Park, which was built in 2003. I also served as the lead texture artist and worked on modeling, lighting and the video editing. Models were created by architects in CAD before being converted, textured and animated.
YouZeum
The YouZeum DVD was created in Maya and Final Cut Pro as a tool for fundraisers. It is a 3D walkthrough of the proposed exhibits. I managed and assisted with the development of all graphics and supervised necessary editing.
Mission HydroSci
Art direction for Mission HydroSci, Game Based Learning for Next Generation Science Learning
Mission HydroSci (MHS) is a game-based virtual learning environment that brings innovative game design to middle school science education. Teachers use MHS because it is highly engaging for their students, builds and integrates knowledge about water systems with competencies in scientific argumentation, and fosters an interest in science and science practices.
